The former Rountree's R & B Club is now the permanent home of Black Oak Books HC. It's located between Parker and Carleton Streets on San Pablo Avenue, two blocks south of Dwight. This vintage building has been transformed into our new store which is 30% larger than our old store.

Every day we are adding used books to our shelves; in a few more months, after we have unboxed the many thousands of books we have accumulated since our Shattuck ave store was forced to close, we will have many more used books for sale than we had at our old locations and our used book prices now reflect our lower costs!

We buy books on Tuesday and Thursday 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Please note that large amounts (roughly speaking more than a bag or two) of books to sell us are best evaluated by making an appointment.
